Glambot

6 years after creating the first ever French Glambot for the 2020 César, Spline is back at the Olympia for the 2026 ceremony, with a new and improved Glambot system. The area dedicated to the Glambot was built especially for the event, in front of the venue, which meant we could work with the technical floorplans of the space to create a 3D previs and techvis of the setup. This was especially useful in our choice of motion control robot and overall configuration, making sure we could deliver on speed and range while staying in our space. We managed to use our motion control Tessa, whose 6m total span was a definitive show-stopper on the day. 

For a night like this, online visibility was key. Our automated post-production system meant we were able to film and deliver the final glambot videos in an instant, so that they could be shared by Canal+ and the César on their respective social media accounts. We also worked alongside the live team in order to broadcast each glambot live on television, during the red carpet festivities.
