On-set camera tracking & livevis

FLYNN is a markerless, on set tracking system. This means we capture 6Dof tracking of every take filmed, right there on set! Using FreeD protocole, we collect reliable data, certified in real-time by our team at our station.

The accuracy of the tracking data can be assessed in real-time during the shoot, and delivered at the end of the day to the post-production teams. This allows for simultaneous steps of filming and VFX work, which can be especially useful for long, CGI-heavy productions.

Our team of trained camera tracking and livevis operators works alongside your team on set, to deliver precise tracking data. They need to be present for camera tests in order to calibrate the lenses for tracking ahead of the shoot, so that they're production ready on the day of.

FLYNN is made out of 3 components (approx. 600gr in total) that go directly onto the camera...and that's it! No external on set infrastructure, no tracking points, no ceiling installation, nothing. Our system is made to fit in any production configuration and on any rig (crane, shoulder rig, steadicam, etc), with minimum elements. This means it can be used both in a studio and outdoors.

In addition to collecting accurate tracking data in real time, FLYNN can also be used for real-time compositing on set. This means the team is able to see the VFX (even if they're just a draft version at this stage) composited with the live action shots, on set, making it way easier to imagine the final result and make adjustments.
