control

Multipass involves filming several passes that are layered in post-production to make up one sequence and easily achieve a wide variety of effects in a moving shot:

• Cloning: like we did in Youssoupha’s music video for Polaroïd Experience.
• Scale: Honey, I shrank the kids!
• Time: for instance, having a character walk normally, surrounded by people walking in slow-motion.

Motion controls can go as fast as 4m/s, making them perfect to film slow-motion sequences using a highspeed camera, such as the Phantom VEO 4k. We've used it on various projects, such as:

• Packshot: capture SFX work, light and matter shots with a premium look.
• Event: capture highspeed glambots on the red carpet, like we did at the 2020 César Awards.

Split screen, infinite shots, sequence shots: using motion control to put together editing effect reduces post-production hassle and widens the scope for creative possibilities. We used it to on several occasions, including:

• Sequence shot : we created the impression of a sequence shot for Soso Maness’s DLB 17
• Editorial shoot: we created an elevator effect for Vogue CZ’s editorial. 

Our motion control also double as model movers:

• Objects: for Acqua di Gio, we flipped a perfume bottled with one moco as we were filming with the other.
• Lights: simulate the path of the sun with artificial lights, or trigger light cues.
• Screen Mapping: our favorite example of this is Bot & Dolly’s Box!
